What are ninjammers doing? What projects are they working on? Are they performing, recording, collaborating?

Let us know what you are
Let us know what you are doing!
Currently, I'm doing nothing
Currently, I'm doing nothing musically. Hoping to put an end to that at Easter and get a bit of drumming in. (You have been warned...)
There's a lot of people
There's a lot of people doing stuff and a lot of new servers but people most times wanna keep it private and there way which is fair enough.
I'm constantly try to get some to put there servers up or make a page etc. but I think the biggest worry for them is others stealing the ideas, or seeing it done then doing the exact same thing, which sometimes can take it away from the original idea.
Which is also understandable, just a shame it's not seen more how much is actually going on with ninjamers.
But there is a lot going on over at ImprovFriday, few shows and it's become quite popular, Pete, Perry, Diek and others have a lot happening atm. Quite a few ninjamers producing stuff for IF's regular weekly slot.
Would be nice if something similar was run cos alternative or ambient, IF is mostly experimental.
As ya know Jave put some Video's up on youtube, I done a few colabs with people and posted it about.
Dig It Signal I think ya called right Pete? They doing stuff regular.
I've helped a good 7 to 8 server setup's of people doing private shows, some are SL'fers too, had a lot ask how to setup a server so imagine some of them became servers. Most don't want to be in a list because then they have to explain to some why they can't use the servers etc.
There was a server for Japanese and that side of the world, I was given the info but not the stuff I needed to get the server info.
But there is a bit going on, a lot are busy in collaborations and projects but sometimes we can lose them to it. :)
I'm up for Music and Video Collabs with anyone, but we'd have to use something like a dropbox, then I cna grab when I have time, work some and post it back up.
I'll have bit more upload speed soon, but would love the upload speed of Puffers recently acquired broadband, its something like 10+ mbits upload. I won't have that here for months or over a year, most I can get at the mo is 1.5mbs.
Right I'm off back too it.
DigItSignal Thanks to Andy

Thanks to Andy we been able to advance. Can't thank you enough!
Hoping to strip the wood of our piano so it would be easier to play and put it on wheels so its simple to move.
Good Idea for a follow up to my video, No frets the easy way lol
No wood the easy way doesn't sound quite right so a job for Kate ...
Off to Rogers now, see you at 2051 tomorrow and if you are in Eksjö on Monday you can see and hear us Live. Great isn't it, a ninjam group playing Live.

Also stripping the piano sounds cool, don't know how it would sound but if ya mic'ing it it might not matter how it sounds.

Jingley... I have been
Jingley... I have been working on this wayyyyyyy too long now. It started with me thinking of ways jammers and any other interested musicians could get some reward for the skills they have developed through all the jamming we have done. Its called Jingley.
It would work like this. Jammers and musicians join jingley.org and post their profile. They can then add video sound clips, as well as text chat, voice and video chat and share files. They can also form groups. If for instance someone had a really great jam they could post this as the basis for development into a fully developed song with some other group members. They might even use the groups to work on other projects they were interested in. There is a market place function where members can post or respond to job requests.
If I received a job request as the owner of http://www.jingley.com and I needed a bass player or a piano player or a guitar part or even a producer I would ask for interest on http://jingley.org/ and pay that person for their work. Anyone who joins has to accept it is very much at a concept or beta stage and has to be be prepared to accept that it will most likely evolve, functions may be added changed or disabled, terms of use may change and that bugs that will no doubt turn up.
http://jingley.org is the community site you can register there if you are interested.
so is you who runs the
so is you who runs the jingley site? cool idea.
been there reading...you tell about ninjam, but i think about putting a dedicate link to it at the main page...about the rewards...im rewarded enough by having words like "hey that was cool" or in the best cases... "..great!."
but of course if you pretend to earn money with stuff where i've added something,i see logic to receive some if you finally get some cash...without me having to ask for it...mmm humans are not that way usually lol
Thanks perreko I thought
Thanks perreko I thought lots of stuff may be done on the site for reasons other than money, like polishing a jam to be used for a worthy cause of some sort, even just as part of your portfolio, or to use in a video. At this stage its all still a bit hypothetical. I'll put a ninbot/ ninjam link there now. I was also more thinking that the players involved in a good jam could make it into a song... not me. they could then use that on their profile to get work on whatever projects eventuate...that sort of thing. If you have a look at this http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/2.5/ you can see that any jam on ninjam where you agree the content you create is creative commmons licenced has to remain non commercial anyway... so making money from them isn't an option. But, creating a profile, getting good at collaborating, working out how to get shared files to work etc is a great way to get skilled at collaborating and hopefully getting some work.
Most recently, I recorded a
Most recently, I recorded a song for my sister, who is flying 3000 miles for a wedding. Have not seen her daughter or her in over 5 years.
Finally got the studio hooked up (and the computer downstairs with art programs for the kiddie) with the exception of an electronic drum kit instead of acoustic. I'm trying to clear hard drive space for recording, but it looks like I'll have to buy a new hard drive because even small simple songs take a lot of space (the 5 minute song I recorded last night took like 500 megs).
Thats all, folks.

Yeah and it's so hard to cull stuff of a HD aint it Ritual, probs the hardest thing on a PC to do. :)
I try to be strict with my HD's, like put certain stuff on one and other stuff on another but one always becomes full and that rule goes out the window. Then before I know it I have a new Downloads folder on another drive. :)
I'm trying to put together a
I'm trying to put together a virtual band. Funk, R & B, Soul, etc. It's taking quite a while to find players that also have recording hardware and some degree of skill with it. I recently contacted a keyboad player through youtube and got a positive result, so it may move forward a little soon.
I'm also working on creating a backing track section on my website, www.jndkramer.com . I create backing tracks to play my bass too and figured other musicians may get some benefits from them too. So far that's goin well creating the content, getting the pre built plugins for wordpress to behave how I want them to is another matter. It's going, but it's going slow.
In other news, I jumped a playing hurdle recently, in that a song Id been trying to learn for ages, finally made it thru my dense skull matter and became something I can play. YOu can view it here if your interested, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQL5tt7b014

Got home today to find my nice new Korg nanoKontrol had turned up in time to be played with this weekend. I've tried it out and got it working in Reaper, so I can now turn effects on and off and adjust parameters on them whilst drumming :).

In case you missed it.. http://jingley.org ....it's the craig's list of jamming collaboration. Be cool, join more than one jamming site: join jingley!:):)
Hello. I'm in a phase of new
Hello.
I'm in a phase of new personal experiential with you old musicians of the ninja. I never had attended a forum with other people and for me has been a rich experience, rich in self-knowledge.
What am I doing?
Bothering about the lack of clock synchronization with the clock of REAPER REANINJAM already written three emails to Cockos Incorporated to find out if they will create some autualização REAPER software in the future. So far had no response from them. I believe this is another attempt in this regard.

Ouch. I'm way, way out of
Ouch. I'm way, way out of practice. Playing once in a blue moon doesn't lead to good playing... /sigh/. Hopefully, soon, in the next few weeks, I'll be getting back to playing regularly... and start improving again.
Hence, at the moment, I'm being grumpy.
hi i m vist your web site
hi i m vist your web site for the first time and i gained knowledge about your web site. your website is great and much informative.. i like most in this is by the time About (link deleted)graduate record examination this indicates that describes visually the concept of information, ie, the set of skills, abilities, behaviors and attitudes that enable the individual to search, access, evaluate and effectively use the most relevant information are every one usefull.I enjoyed my time working for them and I was treated really well. I just happened to google myself and found your website. I am now a big fan. It was so strange to find someone actually cool.
There is so much cool here,
There is so much cool here, we are considered a cure for global warming. Do I really need to add a smiley to show i am joking, or are you guys going just gonna accept it?
Do we get to line the
Do we get to line the spammers up and start taking shots at them..? Only virtually, of course...
Guess what... I get a
Guess what... I get a weekend when I'm free to drum and...
.
.
My sample drive decides to die.
So tomorrow morning, I'll be removing it ready for shipping. At least it's under warranty and I'm 95% sure it's a warranty covered fault.
Fortunately... it survived long enough to snatch a quick backup of my drum samples! (I still have all my install media, just it's so slow loading up from DVD...)
So tomorrow afternoon: I SHALL DRUM! :D
