5. You make friends with people from all over the world
6. You occasionally get to play something really great...some of you guys do all the time
7. You get to be amazed at the spirit of cooperation in a really good jam
8. You eventually learn the slider on the left doesnt make you any louder
9. You eventually learn that the randomness of ninjam is actually its strength and that without it the jamming would be very sterile
10. You get to have a laugh with your jamming buddies at the inevitable player who is way too loud..ok its always a guitarist..
11. You can always move to an empty server if the jam doesnt suit you...arent we lucky
12. You get an excuse to go mow the lawn if the jam doesnt suit you
13. You meet great people from all over the world who might not be great musicians but who are still great people
14. You get to be part of a community
15. You get to try and play styles of music you wouldnt normally attempt
16. You learn that there are many many better players than you and that you will have to practice if you want to get better

Anyone else want to add to this?

17. You eventually learn

17. You eventually learn that the slider on the left doesn't make you any quieter, either.

8^)

18. You continuously play in

18. You continuously play in Metronom biased environments.

19. You can listen to your own jams. Learn from the experience or just f**ing enjoy it!

20. you can listen to your own jams. and not enjoy some of those, but still realize you've learned something from them :)

21. You get to mix and balanced the jam yourself if you want it.

22. You meet and play with many new musicians and cool cats, some of which you meet in the flesh, and go catch a Joe Lovano gig at the VV evidently.

23. You get to play with a huge collection of Sound FX and VST programs, that enable you to create new sounds that were not common in this part of the universe for at least half a billion years..

24. You can jam whenever you feel like, just like the pre-historic man that had the privilege to sleep etc etc when ever he felt like. Ninjam is to the modern man what the stone was for prehistoric man.

25. You have something useful and fun to do if your thinking of being a professional musician or not.

26. you have something to brag about, or if you choose, to whisper silently into the night, when asked by others if you play in any musical groups, by which the answer normally would turn out being a stealthy "No", Is now replaced with the above.

to be continued..

27. you realise that the

27. you realise that the mute button is really for...lol

to be continued....

...the mind thinks in words, the soul thinks in music....

"Ninjam is to the modern man

"Ninjam is to the modern man what the stone was for prehistoric man" Actually Ninjam is more important.... Point 26 is very important too. Oh and by the way they recently found a stone age flute which means the stone age scene was pretty hip too.

28. You eventually learn

28. You eventually learn none of the sliders affect levels in the mix
29. You eventually learn that autojam's auto-mixing skills suck if people aren't playing a sensible levels
30. ...The jam continues, the players come and go...

to be continued....

I have to admit, the first

I have to admit, the first time I discovered Ninjam, I raped those servers like crazy, 2049 and 2050 were my slave vistas, and ninbot was an extra fornication solution. (took some time to realized that ninbot jams are NOT to be found on ninjam jam-farm site :) a whole lot of time :)

anywayz, the thing i realized, was after so much jamming, like a 2 week homemade Woodstuck + Montreal jam festivals, I was amazed by the following:

31. Whenever I would watch a movie, and music would start, It felt as if it was Ninjam music. Maybe it had to do with playing certain music styles that I wouldnt normally, but anyway, It just seemed like Ninjam had a certain 'musical sound' and I was being warpped into ninjam just from hearing normal music in films etc... that was unreal...

32. After playing so much with sound FX, you begin to hear the Phaser FX when pouring a glass of Cola, or the Flanger pops into your head from a rushing car. Its just that spending all that extra time playing with sound FX, and being in the zone, and after a while your hearing is altered and now you hear in a slightly different way, welcome to the machine!

33. You eventually improve

33. You eventually improve your musical talent! :o) I have noticed this not only in myself, but in many others.

34. You eventually get FREE music lessons, all you have to do is ask! What Key! What chords! How do you do that? What the hell is that noise? ect...lol

35. You eventually learn that music is universal, it don't matter if you speak the same language, if your skin is white, black, brown, pink or purple.......all that matters is the music you make together!

36. You eventually get into the most awesome jam....play your heart out..think to yourself...OMG I just played the best in my life...only to realize that the damn XMIT button was unchecked! @$*(#*%#@!!!!!!!!!!

37. and eventually...again the damn XMIT button #*%#$*#@* lol

...the mind thinks in words, the soul thinks in music....

lolol So True!

lolol
So True!

Yeah, that "Hey, everyone's

Yeah, that "Hey, everyone's playing so tight along with my input, amazing, this is going to sound so cool... Uh, my xmit's off... :SLAPHEAD:"

38. Eventually you learn not

38. Eventually you learn not to double click "Post comment" on here ;)

well I say... thats just fine with me, which brings us the lucky number 41:

41. You find that most people can be very understanding in terms of what you come up with musically, besides, whats the worst they can do, not pay you for the next gig? ;)

42. Out of the many things

42. Out of the many things in the world (and on the 'net) that cost money, Ninjam is FREE!

"8. You eventually learn the

"8. You eventually learn the slider on the left doesnt make you any louder"
That made me laugh. :D

43. You learn how when social elements break down there becomes a lot of anon's. :)
44. You learn something about yourself by learning about others in the world and how similar we all are.

45. sometimes you have the

45. sometimes you have the luck to get to learn some special ppl that can change your world forever!

My problem is I forget things too easily and by looping segments a few 1000 times I start to remember them for a bit. This makes its a bit easy for my poor old memory.
