Tried that, we went to RAPCA thought ok were help them out and us, they want 110 quid and 130 for a puppy then they was rude as ya like, told us they couldn't discuss about some puppy's and if we phones they probably wouldn't tell us if they were available. :O
So we tried a few more, they do home visits and stuff first, all come about years ago when there was a few bad cases of animal cruelty and the papers turned it into something it wasn't and they went made a load of rules up. :( Stupid Country this is sometimes.
One's not rung back but next few days were try some others, if not will have to pay out a bit of cash. :(
'is that petfinder us only?
I have to admit I'm in favour of the checks. So many people have kids who go "mummy, mummy, I want a puppy for xmas" and give in just to shut the brats up then haven't a clue how to deal with them, or the puppy. Its the puppy that gets dumped, of course...
I checked there after you said, I looked local and looked at all but there all older dogs, we want a dog less than 1 year or a pup. A lot of dogs are not house trained, people buy them as a novelty then don't train them, get pissed off with them then dump them. But they then can become a lot of work to try undo bad training or lack of it and I'm no Barbra Woodhouse, Walkies. :D
