Than is simply amazing. I have NEVER seen a kid so young with such an astute awareness of the fretboard. Never.

That said, he will either become an amazing virtuoso of the guitar in all its many aspects, OR, he will just continue to play strumming/noodling pop in ever-increasing fluency for the rest of his life, and nothing more. I hope not the latter, but unless he's intellectually curious and/or gets some good instruction and motivation from outside sources, that's probably what will become of him.

It's too bad, too, because we're probably looking at the next Wes Montgomery or something here.

Ed. I take back any reservations I had. I just looked at the kid's other videos. He is a musical genius, plain and simple. He is the reincarnation of some past Great - Segovia, Charlie Chriistain, SOMEBODY. Holy sh1t, I've never seen real raw genius before now. Youtube has some higher purpose, I'm starting to think, to be able to document and disseminate something like this.
