Long BPI jam using bluegrass jam rules (each participant gets to pick a progression/bmp/bpi in the order that they arrive). 60 minutes, ninbot.com:2051

This jam was fun; tea was there and lead a few progressions, bba, stringer and Alain were there as well (although I don't think anyone knew about the Ninbot event... :P).

tea being there was a bit of a nice coincidence, it was actully hearing him and ninjaz (and oru & metal_kid) play jazz standards at 64BPI/40BPM that inspired me to try out the longer jam format (although I don't have the chops for a full jazz standard, not since I packed my trombone away at the end of high school at least). tea recommended this site for finding sheet music to play from:

There's no good reason to call it 'Bluegrass Jam Rules', I suppose, but I thought it might pique some additional curiosities... ;) I think actual bluegrass jams have a few more rules:
1. NO DRUMS! (I can still feel the burning scorn of having once broken out a shaker egg...)
2. Bluegrass music only
3. The "Big 5" only - guitar, bass (non-electric, of course), violin, mandolin & banjo

For me these events are not about bluegrass as a genre, I'm curious about long BPI jams and I figured that stealing the bluegrass convention of having everyone take turns leading might make it more interesting (and better prepared).

Doh! :) I see now it's in
