Well, this updated image is
(a) after cleaning the camera eye and
(b) with "night mode" enabled
- the latter seeming to make the most improvement, so I think it's the low-intensity lighting in here that's the problem. Maybe if it's sunny tomorrow afternoon I'll get a better shot! :)

When I'm on the cam now I
When I'm on the cam now I have a Lamp i switch on with about a 40 or 60watt energy bulb and that's enough to bring up the light.
It sits to my side out of reflection of monitors and eyes and does the job, makes the cma look much more professional as most look much better with more light.
Looks like I might only be
Looks like I might only be temporarily using this machine. I'm planning to get a new mobo/CPU/RAM "upgrade" kit and install it in the old case; this then becomes (2Gb lighter and) a home Linux server.
